Delicious!!! My husband and I came here for brunch and it was amazing! We sat inside to get the true “diner experience” and I ordered the combo with the cinnamon roll pancakes, 2 over hard eggs, and bacon. My husband got the chicken and waffles and we both loved our plates. It was the perfect amount of food for both of us. We also both ordered coffee. I got the ice caramel macchiato and he just got a plain hot coffee, also very tasty! Overall, a wonderful experience and very yummy food!
What a nostalgic little place. We shared a huge cinnamon roll with so much frosting! It was soft gooey and delicious We had authentic Cherry Coke and good Chai. The music and atmosphere was cute. There was an old school jukebox playing a vibrant mix of music. Our server was so sweet. It was an overall vibe!
The whole experience was AMAZING. One of, if not THE best restaurants in San Diego. There was no line when we arrived (around 1:00PM on a Saturday) and the waiters immediately provided us a seat. The restaurant resembles a typical diner, so the location was excellent. Our waitress, Leila, was kind and friendly. Also, generous portions and delicious food make the whole experience even more enjoyable. One of the best things is that when you order a milkshake, you actually get two: one in the regular cup, and the rest of the milkshake in the metal mixing cup they used to make it. I would totally recommend.
We visited the weekend before Christmas and waited about 30 minutes, which felt expected given how busy it was. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, which is nice to have. The food was decent and the portions were large enough to share. Everything was filling and came out hot. Service was friendly but clearly stretched. Our waitress forgot us a couple of times when we asked for water and coffee refills. Overall, it’s a popular Coronado breakfast/brunch spot with generous portions. A good option if you don’t mind a wait during peak times.
Worth the wait, though a bit busy and possibly have to wait a while to be seated. The breakfast options were amazing. The ambiance was typical old-style dining or breakfast. I loved the food and coffee, especially the croissants sandwich.
