Went here on a warm day and opted for the patio. This place is right up on the river so the patio offers nice views of the riverwalk. The fish tacos were pretty good, they had a light but crispy breading that went well with all the trimmings. Also tried the burger which was pretty good as well. Parking is on the street or parking lots are within walking distance.
OMG! This place absolutely surprised me. Typically, Naperville restaurants suck, but the food was excellent. Everything was flavorful including the salad. I would come for the salad alone. The food combinations are imaginative, unexpected, and lovely. I highly recommend 👌.
Empire has a great atmosphere, especially if you can grab a spot on the rooftop. I visited on a sunny day and really enjoyed the view overlooking the river. I ordered the “Jane,” which is a pretty standard burger with lettuce, tomato, and cheese. It was good overall and cooked well, but it wasn’t anything especially memorable or the best burger I’ve had. One thing that surprised me was how limited the menu was considering how large the restaurant is. I expected a bit more variety. Overall, Empire is worth visiting for the atmosphere and rooftop experience, but the food itself was solid rather than outstanding.
Perfect Sunday & was packed, Nicholas defines customer service & found us a table over looking the river. The food amazing as always, The Gronk Burger is EPIC......
We were excited to reminisce on the rooftop but when we were seated, we were not even looked at or served water. The tables around us recieved their drinks and were taken care of. I let hostess know and they did not apologize or reach out to accommodate. We ended up at the bar and received better service from our bartender.
