I took my sons (age 12 & 14) out on a "shark hunt" with Captain Joe. Several other captains had warned that we wouldn't have much luck going out looking for sharks. Even Captain Joe gave us a fair warning. Well, we were thrilled when one of our shark lines took off like a rocket barely 40 minutes into our excursion. We hauled in a beautiful 5' Blacktip Shark after a lot of work to tire her out. On top of that, Joe took us to a few different spots and we caught some amazing fish! Snook, Redfish, Tarpon and others. It was a blast! We will definitely be using him again in the future and recommending him to our friends.

Before even getting a chance to book a trip with this "captain" I called him to ask some questions as it would be my first time fishing in Marco. I am a captain myself and a seasoned fisherman from Costa Rica to Aruba to Offshore up and down the East coast. I felt I was just asking some local questions and getting to know him. As the conversation went on he started getting annoyed and ultimately said basically he wanted nothing to do with me or wanted my business. He stated he would send me a number of someone who would be better for me. His unprofessional handling of this conversation and arrogance of how he needed to hold the date for his dedicated long term clients was most off putting. After not receiving the number of the person who "could help me" i sent Joe Snook a text message and told him how unprofessional and rude he was. He then MOCKED me and said WOW you are so smart. " I wanted nothing to do with you after all your questions". " How you feel empowered by realizing you are not the clientele I'm looking for" I mean how gross and arrogant to treat a potential client that way. I would never book this person and I hope anyone looking for a fishing guide in this area would not book him either.

It’s a shame to see anything less than five stars with captain Joe. He went way above and beyond our expectations. Completely down to earth and extremely knowledgeable when it comes to fishing. Chances are for anyone under a five star review, they are the problem not Joe. He was extremely responsive and a blast to hang out with. My father and I are no professional fisherman but Joe sure taught us how to hammer some fish. We will 100% be back to fish with him again. Thanks for an awesome experience!

Had a fantastic afternoon with Joe at the helm! He took us to a few of his favorite spots. His years of experience and expertise shows. We caught a variety of fish which had different challenges. It was a great experience and not something that you can get outside of hiring Joe. Highly recommended!
