We made a reservation for the 4th of July so we could watch the fireworks while eating dinner. It was a great place to see the fireworks. The service was not great and we had to wait 20 minutes past our reservation time to be seated. They were busy but I dont think it was too busy to have good service. The food was ok, not fabulous. The cocktails were pretty amazing though and the view of the harbor with the fireworks made it worthwhile.

Everything I had here was delicious. Wagyu burger with the eggs was yummy. Sea Bass was very good. Others had a large lobster and another a huge steak that they said was good. Appetizers were yummy as well. Desert was good, but small portion. Both occasions were for an event, so not sure of price. My spouse and I tried to eat here for lunch, but the hostess was not very interested in helping us so we left. Was dressed casually and she was in casual conversation with another guest that was dressed better. I don't stay at places where I am ignored or feel judged. Just so happened that I had 2 events here later in the week. Enjoyed the food and the staff that waited on us was wonderful. Maybe find a different hostess for the day shift or provide better training on being more welcoming and acknowledging guest.

I have fond memories of dining at other Roy's locations throughout the years, was looking forward to a return visit, but I was very disappointed in the overall quality of tonite's meal. First, I was reminded why I should not order a Mai Tai outside of Hawaii. I failed to do my research on the Planetary 3 white rum used for Roy's version and paid the price, literally. It was an ethanol forward (read, tastes like rubbing alcohol) inexpensive rum. Despite the dark rum float, the drink was overall very pale. As for food, I started with the Crispy Chicken Spring Rolls. They were plated nicely and tasted good, but there was a 'not so fresh' edge to them, just as there was to the butterfish. The signature butterfish was perfectly cooked. but had that 'not so fresh' hint to it. Service was good - my server was pleasant and attentive. The atmosphere was fantastic, as I was on the patio with a window seat under a heater which kept me comfortable on the cloudy evening. They do add a 5% "wellness charge" to the bill to "support the health benefits of workers comp premiums for their staff". They note that if you want that deducted from the check you can request as such. I believe in tipping well when it is deserved, but if a restaurant is going to add a surcharge to cover employee costs, I'm going deduct that same amount from the tip. I really wanted to like this venue, but the food and drink fell short.

Amazing food and excellent service! We ordered the Asian-inspired fish and tofu entrées, both packed with flavor. The fish was the best I’ve ever had. For dessert, we tried the chocolate soufflé cake, and the server generously offered us a pineapple upside-down cake on the house; it was absolutely delicious and a must-try. Since it was our first visit, we followed the server’s recommendations, and every dish was outstanding. Great food, ambiance, and service!

The food was truly great — well prepared, flavorful, and presented beautifully. You can tell there’s real attention to quality in the kitchen, and each dish felt thoughtfully put together. The space itself is stunning. The design, the ambiance, and especially the view make it a place you want to linger and enjoy the evening. It has that elevated feel that makes dinner feel like an occasion. Service was good overall, though it could have been a bit more attentive at times. Nothing major, just small moments where a little more awareness would have elevated the experience even further. All in all, I’d definitely come back — particularly for dinner and to enjoy that view again.
